Balloon Info over file

Is there a way to turn off the balloon that gives all the info about a song when the mouse hovers over a file?

I have spent several hours the past couple of days looking for a solution to the annoying balloon tips. I ditto this question.

Right click on the column header > more options. Now untick 'extended tooltips';)

Didn't Work for me.

Thanks for the info BUT it didn't work for me. I'm using LW pro 4.10.
Followed your instructions and still got 'em (balloon tips).
Maybe need a reboot. Will do that after my dl's finish.
No problem really, just annoying.
