'lost' completed downloads after 'clearing' - Not in library - Help ?

I downloaded a few songs and then cleared them after they were complete. Yet when I go to my libray they are not in there. What's wrong?
Please help me :)

Next, we need more info from you first...
The usual questions such as-

What p2p 'client' are you using ?
What Operating System ?

When we know more we can probably help you to perhaps 'recover' the files or at least show you how to NOT do the same again !!!
