Need help please - newbie
 

Hi there I am new to limewire and know just the basics, I can download music and burn to CD fine (through windows media player). I however get stuck when trying to download movies, for example I dont know which form to download in - avi., mgg., mov. Once I have downloaded how can I grt this onto a DVD disk to play in my dvd player. I use Windows XP, I have Nero Ultra 6 (which I use in conjunction with DVD Shrink when I copy DVD's) but dont know where to go from there.

Any help would be appreciated and if you need more info - shout out.

hmmmm....if I remember correctly you need certain codec plugins for Nero6, but I know Nero7 works marvelously to transcode .avi files to DVD format (in fact I'm in the process of doing that right now!)...

.avi gives the best kwality for the size of the file, and that is what I go for..

.mpg is more appropriate for burning files to CD to play in your DVD player (either in VCD or SVCD format)...
