Hello folks and plz help - Problems downloading Arabic files
 

Dear folks
i am trying to access files from the arab world but no success.i manage to browse a user yesterday but the files are not downloading plz help me hot to download files from uae,saudi,qatar,syria users:bangh:

My first thought about your problem is that it may be related to "extended characters" in the file names you wish to download and a conflict with such extended characters in the Gnutella 'client' you are using.

Can you please reply with information about what program (client) you are now using ? (And any other info about your internet connection or firewall.)

It is possible that the files you desire are either in Arabic script or contain components of Arabic script.

Don't worry as there will be a solution for you !

in LW you can choose to 'download as'..which means you get to choose its filename...

I haven't had any problems downloading files with rather weird looking titles (obviously BS is not 'translating' the characters)...

I suspect the issue is more on the lines of firewalls, open slots, etc...

as Urs noted, please give us more information

client, firewall, connection type, ISP, lots of stuff!
