Disabling Hibernate Mode

My computer has very low disk space & Ive used the clean up utility so many times that its pointless because I only get 5MBs out of that which isnt worth my troubles. So I was browsing around on the internet and found out that disabling Hibernate mode could save me alot of disk space. Well the person who made that website is a lifesaver for me, but my main concern is if its safe or not to do this. I dont think I ever put my computer in hibernate mode. I usually just shut down or put it to sleep (if Im not going to be away from my PC for a long time.
So can someone tell me if its ok for me to DISABLE hibernate mode?
I need an urgent reply PLEASE.

Thank you

Hibernation mode is for energy conservation. It's more useful if your using a battery to run your computer, like with a laptop. Your computer goes into hibernation mode after long periods of inactivity also if your battery runs too low it'll hibernate so you don't loose any data. See: Power Management

If your connected via a power cord, like with a desktop. You can safely turn it off. I have mine shutoff and I've never had any problems.
