Question Can someone help me convert video files so I can burn them to play on my dvd player

I super new to this so please bare with me. I was on this site yesterday cause google was no help at all. I'm trying to burn my video files on to my dvd+R disc. Naturally I(being the novice that I am)tried the direct approach but it didn't work. So I did some research and found out that i needed to convert the files. This where you guys came in on one of the forums some1 suggested to get to get dvd santa(free trial) so i did. I followed the directions i think to the tee. It converted the files but it wouldn't burn after it was done. It wasn't reading that i had a dvd+r in burner. so i found the temp files and burned them using my roxio dvd creator suome worked others didn't. I also wanted them in a compilation form I have windows vista if that helps please any help would be great.

Junior Member Fresh "D" (I like that name)

I'm not a DVD Santa expert but a friend of mine ran into similar problem with Nero. I found out that he had not configured Nero properly to tell it his PC contained a burner.

So my question to you is, can DVD Santa see your burner, i.e. does it see any other drive other than your "C" drive?

I use Santa but I have not encountered this actual problem and I don't have Vista, so I'm not of much help...
BUT..try going to this site AfterDawn.com: Forums they are really helpful with these issues and they have a sub forum for Santa...
Sorry I can't help you out any more than that...

OK heres a site that you have to buy the converter
http://www.************scenter.com/S...converter.html

if you want to streem the media to your game console like an xbox 360 go to MyCast your digital media with Orb 2.0 remote pc access software

and if you want a free version i think go to
http://www.mediaconverter.org/

I hope this helps

ConvertXtoDVD converts the file to a DVD then burns it. I suggest using it, although you are supposed to pay for it. But you can download it, then *********. Just search for VSO on google, untill you find it.

Just download the Zune media player you can burn them to DVDS there and they work on a dvd player but they have to be Mpeg and Mpeg4 Files
