Anonymous Downloading I notice that when I click on the "direct connect" tab in limewire Pro that it tells me what my IP address is. I am running another software program that a friend gave me that allows a person to surf the net anonymously and provides a false IP address for every site visited. May, since I started using that program my junk mail spam etc has eliminated. How do i configure Limewire Pro to use this same false IP address. As well how does one know what their username on Limewire is.....if there is such a thing? Thanks, RSM |

1: its rude to double post 2: its against forum rules to double post (you HAD to read them upon registration) there is no username (other than on this forum, which is NOT part of LimeWire) for all effective purposes you cannot make the IP address you use online the same as for limewire as LW uses socks4 or socks5 proxies when used 'anonymously'..said use is up to you to configure properly...

Excuse me for clicking the mouse twice. I didn't realize that it would post again. I have never used a forum before and if this is the kind of sparky response one would get.....then maybe people will have second thoughts. Sorry . thanks for the tip though :-) |
