Nero 6 confusion - it has Nerovision combined - what is this software? Most annoying. I've been using Nero 6 on my desktop machine for about 3 years. I bought a new laptop, couldn't find the old Nero 6 disk and bought another - also version 6. To my irritation, the new Nero doesn't have the ability to encode and burn movie file to make a DVD - only a VCD. I checked on the WWW and realised that there is separate program for doing this - Nero Vision. BUT my desktop had this already built-in with the original install - in the "DVD" section of Nero's menus there it is - "make DVD". Can anybody explain this? Was there ever a version of Nero that had Nero Vision as a built-in part? I'm not familiar with versions later than V6. I would like to try to find the same version of Nero that I have on my desktop computer - the version that has the ability to make DVD movies. And how can I find out what exact version of Nero each installation is? All I can find is "Nero 6". Cheers! |
Hiya &Welcome !!! I've been using and abusing v 6 Ultra for a long time now and I can assure you that, as far as a straight download from Ahead Software is concerned, NeroVision has ALWAYS been a separate module... ditto for the User Manuals and the 'art' packages for Nerovision 'labels' or 'screens'. Plus, ditto for the WMA Plug-in. Last for now... I'd strongly recommend that you stay with Ultra 6 for the moment as v 7 seems to be with a few 'problems'... PM me if you'd like some other tips. |
Thanks for the friendly suggestions and response - I'm glad you're the cleaning lady. I swear to God/Buddha/Devali/Manchester United that I have an installed copy of Nero 6 that can wite video DVDs. I just want to find another one of the same thing. HELP!! R Quote:

I'm not sure as to what specifically Urs is referring to as to the problems associated with Nero7...I've been using it since the day it was released and have had no issues with it... |
Help!It seems that people are not bothering to read my query! How odd! Nero is FINE! Always has been. But do you know the answer to my question? Thanks Rob |
