Hi and welcome !

First, please give us details on your

Computer system
Software versions
Connection hardware
Internet Service Provider

and all the rest of the usual info...

And, what should be the first really curious question...

You have obviously been able to post here...
Are you using your machine for connecting to the internet and these forums or are you using another machine ?...
Meaning, are you completely 'off-the-air' or only having problems with the programs you have mentioned ?

Hang in there... You will get it sorted ! ;)

my guess is its a UDP problem...the last time I had this issue I had to reformat....that solved the problem...never did figure out the cause...

oh finally.. your heaven's sent! :)
Comp Specs.
CPU celeron 1.8 ghz
Ati ddcated vdeo card 128 mb
1gb of DDRII

-I have window blinds installed
-Kaspersky Anti Virus 7
-My windows firewall is off
-Yes I can connect to the internet
-In my first 2 months I could still get connected using this 3 programs (limewire, bittorrent and Mirc)
-I'm not really good when determining what kind of internet connction do I have? I wonder if there's a way to determine that.. but i'll just describe it for u. Im using a cable connected to a modem that has four slots.. after cofiguring the IP address all i need is to turn on the modem and connect the cable to my laptop..
- curious question is i can connect with my first two months and after that i can't connect anymore.. does it have something to do with the programs that I've installed? I Installed Ad-aware but it is disabled.. I only enable it when i need to scan my computer..
- or because im not the only who uses the modem.. does it have something to do with others who are using the internet connection?
- and im only having with those programs that i've mentioned.. p2p doesnt work on me.. I really wonder why..
- and would also like to know how to determine if my IP is static or dynamic..

Thank you madam.. :)

awww.. i have thought of doing that but i have a lot of files needs to back up ..
and im goin to need an xternal HD to do that.. hmmm.. maybe that'll be my last option.. it's so troublesome having a problem like this..
bout the UDP, I have a green light on my bittorent client which means that my port is forwarding properly.. thanks for your suggestion siiirr.. :)

If you're trying to use the network you're on right now I'm not surprised you were blocked.
Do you have internet at home too?

The network you are on right now is so heavily controlled that it is surprising you are even
able to visit these forums. Trying to use that network for file sharing or chat is probably
forbidden so any attempts by you to use it that way could bring you a lot of trouble.
