i am getting corrupt files
 

i am getting corrupt files as lw keeps telling me and they are only getting corrupted when i am half way into the download because every file i download i check it with bitzi first and it only infects lw and not my pc this has been going on for 4 weeks now i have wrote many a thread on this forum but getting no replys because its that bad now that every file i download is the same so now i cant use lw and i am a paid up member please someone help

Which type of operating system is on the computer and which version of LimeWire are you using?

thank you very much for geetting in touch the pc is windows xp home edition sp2 and i am using lw 4.14.10 this has been going on for 4 weeks now since i reported it and its getting worst i am now getting fake messages saying its from lw but i delete it because about 2 years ago i got the same message and when i pressed yes it broke my pc and had to buy another one i dont know much about pc so i hope you can fix this problem thank you ladyvel

Maybe you have a virus. Get this free antivirus scanner and see if it finds anything new.

i am just downloading avg will get back in a bit when i have done a scan i have mcafee and that shows up nothing i have also done a f-secure scan and microsofts safty scan all camme back clean but i will do this one and let you know in a bit ladyvel

i have done a scan and it has found nothing i am downloading movies at the moment and everything seems find today i deleted and reinstalled lw and i dont know if that has done it but it seems whoever does mess about with the files it happens when i am half way throu a download so i will see what happens thanks again for your help and advise and hope the problem is fixed.ladyvel

Try to do an online scan with Kaspersky, and if it finds any bad files, download the trial. Kaspersky is a great Anti-Virus.

sorry to trouble you again but it is back to the way it was before i have just had a fake lw message and it as slowed down the downloads whitch i i doingi will get to the end of the downloads and lw will tell me that about 4 files are corrupt and then i have to delete them before i download a movie i allways check with bitzi so the files are allways ok when i start.ladyvel

the message is_this is lw.the official website.lw has encountered an internal error.it is possible for lw to recover and continue running normally to aid with debugging.please click"send to notify lw about the problem click"review to look at the information that will be sent thank you. always send immedially_always ask for a review_alwaysdiscard all errors. send. review. discard.this is the message i have had before and i pressed yes and it broke my harddrive so now i just press the cross at the top to delete it cause that the only time it will go away but whatever your download rate is , that halves it.the other bug or whatever it is corrupts each files and when that happens the bars in the bottom corner goes to red and then goes back to nornal again thats when you know it has happened hope i have explianed it so you can understand like i said i dont know much about pc thanks for you time.
