Sd card Write protected...?????

I want to errase the pictures that are on my Scandisk 1gb SD card.
I keep getting this Write protected flag.
Could you teach me how to SHUT OFF the write protection on this card so I can use it.

Look on the side of the SanDisk SD Card. There is a switch that says Lock and Unlock. Make sure it is in the Unlocked Position.

Didn't know about the switch, Thanks.

Although it is the same in either position.

Cannot delet or add to the card.
Write Protected...??
