Creating files to lump me different typed of music together.

Pretty basic question i know, but this is all new to me.
How the hell do i make files to lump me rock together, one for me soul, etc? And how do i get the songs in 'em once created. Can't seem to find any provision for this at all, all it seems to go on about is sharing stuff.
Any answers please make specific and detailed, i'm a luddite.

If you mean playlists, just open one in a text editor and you'll see how easy it is to make
them from scratch.

But what's a text editor and where do i find it?

If you have Windows, there's one included, called Notepad.
You'll find it with the Accessories in the Start menu programs list.

Every operating system has a text editor.

I am brand new to LW myself, and have the same question as the original poster. I found the Notepad, but I don't understand how that connects to creating different playlists in LW for different genres - soul, rock, etc. I've not used Notepad and don't understand how it interfaces with LW. Sorry if this is a basic - dumb - questions! :)

Yep. Me too.
I'm still wading thru a twenty foot list trying to find Val Doonican for me mum to listen to, amongst reams of CCR and Skynyrd......
