Burning movies but runs slow on my PS2...

First off hello to everyone. I will start by saying that I am burning movies while i am in safe mode. Lets just say my comp is freezing so the only way i do stuff is in safe and planing on taking my comp to the repair shop in the future. Anyways i have nero 7 ultra edition. I have successfully burned one movie b4 , in safe mode. But I have downloaded alot of tv shows. torrents. But everytime i burned them the video runs slow but the sound runs at normal speed when i play them on my ps2. I have wasted a number of dvd-r discs, so i bought a dvd-rw just save money. I know I can successfully burn movies but seem to have problems. As far as i know all the tv shows i have are .avi files and when i watched them the video seem to run fine. Can anyone help me? Thank You.

Have you considered using a different program to burn these files? Nero might have ruined the files while they were buring some how. I don't think that is it, but I don't think it would hurt to try.

Let me add also i have watched the preview of the tv show that i am about to burn at the part where there is a remote at the same time with same video on VLC player, side by side, and i notice the the video thats playing on VLC player plays at normal speed.

Safe Mode, eh ?

You got any idea what is NOT running re: drivers and a hat full of other stuff when under Safe Mode ?

NERO 7 Ultra doing successful burns in Safe Mode ?

2 questions:

May I please have an enormous quantity of whatever it is you are smoking ?

er, you're not running VLC in Safe Mode, right ?

yeah it says it can't find a sound device, so there is no audio when watching movies. However I thought i can still burn stuff successfully because i burned one movie in safe mode plus copy a handful of movies as well. VLC works but again no audio. I guess i should take my comp to be repaired then, but no time only at night. Forgive me I don't know too much about computers.

Hiya, again...

Let's go easy on this spending money stuff until you really must, RIGHT ?

Might be a good chance that someone here is going to be able to sort out the problem(s) you've now got... As long as you have the time to carry out your side of the 'sorting' !

We still need all the details on your machine...

Click on the link >

System details - Help us help you > Provide these details when you post !

which is in my signature...
That will help a lot... Also need info on any and all CODEC packs you may have either installed or 'removed'.

And, what is the exact model of your CD/DVD drive ?
You can find this info via

right cliick on My Computer > Hardware > Device Manager > DVD/CD-ROM drives...

later !
