How do you burn a cd? I want to burn my limewire music to a cd. So first I drag the songs form my from the limewire library to the music section on my pc so that it can show up in my windows media player. Next I burn the music to a cd but when im finished and try to play the cd in a cd player I cant hear anything. What am I doing wrong? |
You didn't mention which CD burning program you are using. You probably just copied the MP3 files and made a data disk instead of setting the burning software to make an audio-only CD, which would have made the software convert the files into the uncompressed format CD players need. |
What are the steps I need to take If I did make data disk then what are the steps I need to take to burn a cd. I use Windows Media plaer to burn a cd. But I also have itunes and zune software. |
If you have a burner then you might have gotten real burner software too, like Nero. I wouldn't trust any of those media players to do it. Check to see if you have one that you haven't used yet. |
I use Windows Media Player to burn CDs. I've not tried dragging files from the Limewire library; I drag the files from my shared directory. Perhaps that makes a difference. Of course, burners such as Nero give you many more options, such as editing songs before burning them (decreasing blank space, fade in/out, etc.). It's easy! |
Shared Directory??? 1.WHere is the shared director 2.ALso could you go step by step on how you burn your cd after you've just finished downloading your limewire music. |
Need help burning a cd? Could someone give me step by step directions on how to burn a cd using music I downloaded from limewire.I use windows media player on Vista. This thread has been merged because some people find it useful to post two threads on exactly the same issue. We don't find it useful. |
if you give WMP access to all the songs you have downloaded and then created a WMP playlist I think that is all you have to do in order for you to click on the option of burning a CD. I don't think it's that difficult. If you have any problems read WMP's help files. |
As RobertR said, Simple. Maybe this will Help. Windows Media Player 10 Guide: Adding Songs to Your Library and Burning CDs If using a different version, this will still give you the general Idea. |

A problem with your question is that you do not specify what type of music files you wish to burn to CD. If you only wish to make a CDA type disk (meaning it will play in normal CD players), than WMP should suffice. But, if you want to burn .mp3 files than you should definitely use something else... Almost anything else would be better ! Can you please clarify exactly what you want to do ? |
