Hi Babydoll.
AVI Files are Video Files. MP3 Files are Audio Files. What exactly are you trying to do??
Here is a list of "Common File Extensions" that may help you understand what you may see on the Network.

Common File Extensions
Hope this Helps. :D

(this is a good way to find out what a particular file extension might do FILExt - The File Extension Source )

I agree Lord. I think it is a very basic short list. I was surprised also not to see .srt.

Babydoll, How are you performing your search?? Are you searching under the Audio Tab?? Title, Artist, Album, or are you using the "All Types" Search Function. Try just the Audio Tab and see what choices you have to choose from.

i lick audio tab then go to artist and then type the name of the song.then after a few seconds all the songs listed are in mp3 format :(

Yea that is normal. Can you offer up a little more detail for instance, PC or Mac. I can't believe EVERY MP3 Won't Play. Please give more detailed Info. Thanks

You may get some good Info from this Sticky: How to find music :)

Well....Sorry Babydoll but I'm out of suggestions. I don't use Limewire anylonger so I'm drawing a blank. Hopefully someone else might have an Idea. I do know that the Later versions of LW are very buggy and that may be some of the problem if you have updated recently.

babydoll28248 May 24th, 2008 11:49 AM

thanks so much. i reinstalled it because my pc crashed a few weeks ago.i have no idea if it the new version or not.if you dont use lime wire anymore could you suggest something else ?
