Wireless Network Sharing Limewire Media: Music stopped playing; Problem solved !
 

I have for some time been able to download media from my PC [XP] and play them via a wireless network on my laptop [Vista] but more recently every file I download does not play through the laptop. Within the properties for the files the title and artist information does not transfer and neither does the owner information.

Has anyone else come accross this problem? I've read the forums and downloaded Codec with no success.

Are you sure the audio files do play at all? Trojan's posing as mp3's

Hiya LOTR. I don't think it's a trojan as they play perfectly well on the PC, they just won't stream through to the laptop. Lots of other downloaded tracks and ripped CDs work fine. Would it be a licence issue?

Fixed. Not sure why this worked but I just moved the whole file of 3000 songs to another location, set sharing rights and they played.

Hope this is useful if anyone has similar problem.
