Shut down LW first and then delete the file from your shared folder in windows. If it still won't delete, reboot your computer and try again. If it still won't delete, try it in safe mode or use a program like Unlocker.

Depends on file of course, each one with its own tricks. However, One solution I found was moving all the files out of the folder your bad file is in leaving only that bad file inside. Then Delete that folder. Then create a new folder & name it same as the folder you deleted so you can return your other good files into it. In this scenario, there seems to be some link between the folder & the bad file. Perhaps related to directory location. This scenario was when a file continually kept showing back up. It's worth a try, only takes a couple of minutes.

Need to do this whilst LW is closed of course.

IT WORKED!! Uninstalled Limewire then downloaded Limewire 5, deleted the incomplete folder with the corrupt file and they've gone. LOTR YOU LEGEND.
Cheers
