I'm new to this program and do not know where to find hosts or how to them. Can someone help with some useful information?

If you go to the xolox page, there is a post that says
Connection problems? Click Here it will download a hostlist. You then just put it in your XOLOX folder. |

If you want to add a specific host (for example you friend's computer), you can do this through the preferences dialog.
