I like Xolox but...
 

you guys gotta help me out here... Im still getting the application error "Exception EAccessViolation in module... blah blah blah"
I once saw the solution to this problem somewhere on this forum, and I tried what it said... that was great, and it worked... for about 1 day. When I came back to my computer the next day, it did the same freekin' thing. I like Xolox, from what I've seen of v.1.22, and the short time I spent on 1.3, but, Im really not prepared to reinstall Xolox every damn time I wanna use it... anyway, all I want to know is if there is someone out there who can help me with this.

Can you give us more info like operating system , system info, connection, firewall, etc.

Odd, there must be something you keep repeating producing this error. In this case you may be better off joining chat and see if anyone there may be able to give better hands on help.

Hey, it worked, but...
 

Yeay, I finally have a working version of Xolox... (and here come that ominous "but" again) but... now things seem to be going all to hell with the errors that are poping up, well, actually, its just one error, and I've seen it about 20 - 25 times now...

When I first downloaded and installed the new build you so kindly provided me with, things were going good... untill the next day, when I got back on my computer (the words "déjà vu" came to mind)...

I wasnt really paying any attention to Xolox for the first little while I was at my computer, just let it d/l some files for a while, and everything seemed to be working. When I got around to doing a search, I got an error... I thought no big deal, I've seen them bofore... but then it happened again, and again... and again. I restarted my computer, loaded Xolox and the same thing happened another 6 times... anyway here it is: HMODULE: 4194304
Unhandled exception EOleException
Exception message:The requested resource is in use
Call stack:

I've tried restarting, tried closing every background application I could, tried reinstalling, and just about everything else I could think of... Im kinda wishing now, that I had payed more attention in my highschool programing class, maybe I could be more help to you.

Oh yeah, Im running Win9x on a celeron 500, with a dialup, (ISP) connection, and no firewall that I know of. And sorry I wrote so much, I dont know if you like that much detail or not... hope it helps.
