Good features BUT...

The reason why I downloaded xolo X is the download segments feature!! THis part of the program rocks!!!

However, other than that I think its a pretty ****ty program...

first off, the user is given no information!!!

while this may be good for some people, there are a lot of people out there who want some control... it would be nice to know what your horizon is, it would be nice to know how many hosts you are connected to, it would be nice to set limits to the number of upload slots, as well as downloads slots you want to open.

and get a decent GUI, this program looks like it was made by a kindergardner (artwork wise)

If you still insist on making this a program for retards, just have an option for stupid people that would hide all of the information, and options like it is now, however one of your main client bases will be luring users over from programs like bearshare, and limewire, which both give you many more options, and are much more powerful that way.

I like the segmented download feature, BUT the lack of advanced options make it quite annoying to use, such that I stopped using it, also put in some sort of quality of service checking like Bearshare, and limewire, even if there are 20 copies of a particular file out there, those 20 could all be filled!!! I'm not sure how bearshare and limewire do their QOS, but it would probably be a feature that you could implement!

add more advanced options OR YOU WILL LOOSE MANY ADVANCED USERS WHO WOULD HELP YOUR USER BASE GROW, AND PROVIDE A SOLID BASE FOR THE NETWORK!

wrong. they will win so many users, because the average internet user doesnt know s*it about technical things. they want easy to use stuff like napster was !!

donīt make xolox into another g33k client. the very low number of geeks is tolerable to lose.
a client for everyone is the thing to use. and try your best to stop freeloaders in this client !

i like it and leave it that way. (even if i am a "geek")

Whatever you do ... don't listen to a$$holes like this bloke. Let him take his files and shuve them up the bears a$$ for all I care.

Tweak out the gui shure, no probs. But don't give these A$$holes the control to start killing downloads. I also like anonymous idea you have going.

They just want to be little bung hole gods behind there computer screen, " if you want to download from me you must wipe my bunghole" that's what we'll start seeing in our searches. That's all these goofs want. Some kind god trip. To think they want you to ask for something they ripped off in the first place. I say screw them.

I'll still share my 5000 + files only on XoloX. including 6 o/s'es, 100 full games ranging 50-500megs. 10 or so movies, 4or 500 appz and 4000+ mp3's.

Now if want to implement something, have it show when someone using bear**** is trying to download from you so you can just close down for the night. :) (just a personal quirk)

The people will come when they relize they don't have to put up all the goofs that wait til your 90% done then cancel your download. Or because your sharing 0 files, for christ sake I did a whois on winmx on myself and it showed me as sharing 0 files, how in the hell dose 0 files almost take up 40 GIGs ? On XoloX you ca't do that, everyone is equal on XoloX.

Im in the process of spreading the word about XoloX, recommending it to everyone.

I have the XoloX fever. Im buying a 60gig h/d just for XoloX use. my 40 is just about full.

my 2 cents

p.s. (to XoloX) sorry for being so sarcastic, not in the greatest of moods tonight and Im fed up with all this computer guru ranting. Im a certified computer tech for over 5 years now and Im quite happy to just start up XoloX and actually download something all in same century. Something I can't say about most other p2p proggys except maybe Napster(RIP). And I've tried most of them...

XoloX #1. is my prediction. Keep the faith and don't loose sight of your vision.

uhm, hard words but the truth ! i feel the same way. make it impossible to download if you donīt share would be a good addition too !

keep it easy ! donīt add geek features and make filesharing work :)

Hi, I like the unique idea of a simple gnutella client with a kind of background intelligence (+ an advanced option for nerds)! Please "Guest" try to speak up much more friendly.

Have a nice sunday, Moak :)
