That's crap. | Actually that's quite a good thing because that way the whole process is sped up. If you download, for example, the new star trek episode from a servant and all of his other download slots are filled it is quite good for other people to be able to get the same thing from you just as you download it... that's just taking the thought of sharing one step further, and gnutella is ALL about sharing! Well, enough seid, bye | Then don't share directories in which you keep stuff you don't want to share. I don't know about you, but I have a very clear structure of folders on my disk. I have inbound, I have outbound, I have everything else. Outbound is parted in various subfolders like MP3, Movies, Series which then are also parted in even more subfolders (By Album, By movie Title, by Series Title)... not only does that help me keep a clear view of what I have and what I want (minimizes double downloading totally) but it also help other people searching and thus sharing. And what is gnutella all about? RIGHT you are - it's all about sharing.  |
