![]() I use xolox on a 56k modem on a PIII. Xolox works very well for me and is fairly stable on Windows ME (no program is really stable on ME, i.e. it sux). Here are the features that make it work well with a phone connection. -Large popular files actually get completed because it continously looks for new places to continue the download. Sometimes it will take days to download, but xolox stubbornly sticks with the task. -searches are the most complete. I can let a search run for an hour and have 10x as many responses as you would get from Bearshare. -you can see from the searches which files are complete copies because it details how often a file is repeated on the network. Here are some features I would like to see in the future: -a general log of activity -a history of files that have been uploaded Great programming. It really will set the standard for gnutella clients. g. |
