Hello, New User with a Simple Question (padlock icon)
 

Hello! I just installed LimeWire 4.12 and downloaded two files with no problems. I do have a question. On top of my Downloads page there is a Yellow bar that says "Only search results with a (lock icon) are official LimeWire LLC Communications." I didn't see a lock icon on any of the results. Can someone explane this? I clicked "More Info" but nothing happens.

The orange warning banner with the padlock was added because there's a bogus LW update showing up in search results. It's a 75.7 KB .exe & shows up as "Urgent LimeWire update - download & install now". If people download that thing they could end up infected. To try to prevent people from downloading a dangerous file, the warning banner was added to LW's interface.
The padlock symbol doesn't apply to music, movies etc;)
