Hi, new to the site. looking for some help

DanaKate April 26th, 2009 02:17 PM

Finally found the right place!

Hi, this is my first time on this forum. I don't expect to be here much, I'm just looking for an answer to what is maybe a strange question. Or suggest it for the future if it's not something supported in LW right now.

Nice to meet you all, and now I've done my introductory duty from the really long instruction page above. I'm off to find my answer now. :)

Oh oh, additional suggestion! If you're going to have such a long post saying introduce yourself, why not link to the right forum right away? I had no idea this was in the lounge because it didn't say so. Just make it a link straight here for us total noobs. Thanks! :)

Good suggestion. :) We'll see what we can do. Your question on the forum was no;t strange, we get similar questions now & again though not commonly. :) And welcome to the forums. :rolleyes_2:

unicorn4mi April 29th, 2009 02:43 PM

Hello,
I am new to the forum but I have been using limewire since I was in diapers LMAO
My Name is Carolyn. I have 3 dogs and love my music.
I have a question and didn't know where to post it so I am killing 2 birds with one stone.
Today I upgraded pro and I have no Themes nor Skins folder and can't locate it in limewire. Where did it go? I love them Skins.
Please PM me if you have a clue as to were they are. I have the skins saved on my other drive but can not find folder on C drive, Nor locate in Limewire.
Thanks for any help.
Thought I would introduce myself with a bang LOL
Hugs Carolyn

Lord of the Rings April 29th, 2009 05:31 PM

hi Carolyn :) Unfortunately at present LW 5 does not have ability to change skin (probably will return that ability at some stage later in year). That's disappointed many people I know. Only option would be to downgrade to LW 4.18 Pro if you really desired the skin change. ;) Be curious what you think of LW 5 compared to LW 4. LW 5 has less tools though a few nice improvements.

Hello to all of you. I love movies and music. I live in Arlington, TX. I've been using Limewire for a couple of years, but I'm hoping to learn some new tricks.

Bummer :-(

The new LQQk is really different. I like the look but miss my skins. Am hoping they bring them back.:wai:
I miss all the good tools to. Still scoping it out though.
AS long as I can still get music I'm good:xirokrotima:
Thank you for relying.
I'm not sure I want to downgrade. I'll play with the new one for a few days to see which one I like better:idea:
Thanks Carolyn

Errrrrrrrrrr

I am so diappointed with limewire these days.
i just renewed for another year and it seams as though all I get
when I search is crap, virues:mad2: which I scan a song before I click it:idea:
It is not worth the money I paid if I cant find CHIT:shoot:

Lord of the Rings September 2nd, 2009 12:52 PM

These are two helpful threads to check for advice: How to find music

Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see)

LW 5.2 will delete 'known' problematic/virus infected files once downloaded. Whereas the LW 5.3 beta will prevent them being downloaded; http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...tml#post348490

Blackhorse 70V September 12th, 2009 12:31 AM

Hello wbfun & :welcomegnut3:

I once visited Ft. Walton Beach. It was August, 1970. I was assigned to an Army Ranger unit, 27 miles into the swamps of the AFB. So my brief visit to civilization and the amusement park was almost as nice as the beach and surf. :PEACE:

btw Did you ever find my watch?

Hello,
I'm just a music fan with a imac G5 pre-intel dual running 4.18 and cannot run the new 5.0.
I had Limewire before until I upgraded to Leopard 10.5

I have one problem while connected my imac gets a dark screen that drops down and asks me to push my off button to reboot. Freezes until I reboot.
I did not see this before this upgrade to 4.18 version.
ANYONE GOT A CLUE WHY THIS IS HAPPENING????????????

Thanks

There's a note right in the middle of the screen when opens.Go to search....
Just keep playing in that area of the interface.:rolleyes_2:

Put in Artist or name of song...etc.
Then wait and walah!

Hello, hello, hello.. a novice Mac user and a Frostwire user.. though it's been giving me more corrupt files than awesome songs. So I'm basically looking for a better platform to search for songs. :PEACE:
