old vs new/junk files

I'm new to the forum situation but an oldie at LW. I find the newest version is a poor comparison with the old one. Now with the legalities I can't get a quarter of the hits I used to. Can't believe there was that much illegal going on. 2nd complaint is all the junk on this system. someone "ipod.com" has flooded the system with ads. Don't the Gnuella people monitor this junk and block it?
