Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone! I am a newbie here. Have used Limewire before, but only used the basic. I am Pro now! :xirokrotima:

Don't know much about all this, but eager to learn!

Hi Taxiracer4jr,

Thanks! I am a little confused. I search for songs and so far I have not seen ANY with the limewire logo beside them. Is that normal? I thought by PAYING for the service I would receive more stable files. So far I have not seen a single Limewire logo on ANY songs, new or old that I have searched for. OOPS, maybe this is not the place to discuss this. Sorry. Just curious as to whether this is normal.

Yes, it's normal.

The files on the network are the files that other users(you and me) are sharing. LW doesn't control the content of the network. LW's icon won't show up beside any files(afaik).

The Pro version connects to more peers and d/loads from more sources than the Basic version does. So the potential is there for more search results and faster d/loads, but the content is the same.

Hope this helps.

REALLY confused!

So what are those lime green symbols supposed to be for? My boss's son downloads stuff from there all ther time and the whole page has those green thingys! He downloads heavy metal head banging stuff. Maybe that has something to do with it!

In any case, I like this site. E-music sucks! It doesn't have any really good music. Has a lot of wierd stuff and artists I have never heard of!

What is that Torrent thing? Not sure what to do with it. Have you downloaded movies before? How fast is it?

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what you mean by LW files. I don't see that in my search results. The icons that show represent the player you have set as the default player for that file type. My search results look like this: (See Attachment below v v)

You get torrents from sites that host torrent files. Use the forum search and also google for "Torrents".

That is what mine looks like too! I will have to take a closer look at his screen, but I could have sworn under License there was a green logo of some kind. I just glanced so I may be mistaken. In any case, Limewire has a LOT more to offer than e-music. I am going to make a CD of all my free stuff from e-music and then cancel my script from them. They just don't have much to offer. Can't even find 50 downloads I like! :p
You have made me curious now. I will see if I can get some time today to go by the office and check out his downloads! :)

Thank you for all the info. I like Limewire even though it wasn't quite what I thought. Good music here!
You have a WONDERFUL day!:yahoo:
