New guy on the block

Hi To all.
I have been around LW for a while and of recent times it seams that a lot of the MP files are not usable. Can anyone expand on this thought?

Sorry, but I don't have any experience with .MP files (hadn't even heard of them, or Maya PLE!!):o
MP File Extension - Open .MP files

Which client are you using?

Maybe somebody else here will have more ideas.
