The official site offers Pro ($21.95, free updates & email support for 6 months), Extended Pro ($34.95, free updates & email support for 12 months) & sometimes a one-off deal where you can buy Pro for $13.95 but don't get any email support or free updates... if you paid $ 49.90 then you may have been scammed.

The only official site for download of Pro or basic (free) LW is Lime Wire » Download LimeWire
On your CC statement, the vendor should appear as LimeWire LLC.

Membership? - **WARNING ** BEWARE** - Download p2p Clients ONLY Thru Official Sites

If you did get scammed, you should contact your CC company & see if they can cancel the charges.

Do you mean that when you try to download a file, you get a popup from LW saying that LW can't find a license for the file? In that case, check out this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...ense-file.html

Or do you mean that you can download files, but when you go to play them you get sent to a website?

Or are you trying to play files with Windows Media Player & that's giving you the error??
