Default problems connecting to mp3 rocket with vista

Hi guys, I installed mp3 rocket 5.2, have the latest java software and sucessfully used the program for a couple of months at least, but it just stopped connecting to the network and only says connecting to network without tampering of any settings. I can't get it to connect and need some help please.

I've never used mp3 rocket & know little about it. I'm not sure if it even uses the same connection cache as LW. However, you could try replacing the gnutella.net file if it uses one: If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link), scroll half-way down that page to DELETE/REPLACE gnutella.net FILE.

mp3rocket is simply another LameWire ripoff....so any advice that pertains to LW should be applicable...

I just got Vista Home Premium (had XP)

I CANNOT Install the latest downloaded version) (or any version of LW) on Vista.

I keep getting the error "Cannot open input file for splittet files"

WHY oh Why is that. Even my girlfriend installed hers (hahaha)

You need to be logged into an administrator account to install LW. You also should right-click the installer & choose Run as Administrator. An alternative: Try this version: Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!, but you need to have Java 1.6 installed on your system first: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems - Sun Microsystems & choose the offline 15 MB version. Oh .. and for Vista, right-click the the LW program & choose Run as Admin first.
