How to add Hosts

Hi everyone,first time post. I have used Limewire for years now but seems to have btrouble connecting. I`m wondering how I can manually add hosts so I can have a better experience.

hi Jints57. Which version of LW are you using? For LW 5, Tools menu, Advanced Tools. Then you will see a window open with option to add a Host. Press Add button after typing/pasting in the address.
For LW 4, View menu, Show/Hide, Connections, similar to above but at bottom of window. :)

Good question. :) I thought you might already have had a list to add which is why you were asking. Try opening the gnutella.net file. You will find a list inside. You can download a fresh one from the connection problems sticky for LW 4 users. This would work well if you think you are connected to dud or spam ultrapeers. Dud ultrapeers meaning your searches are not getting any results. Spammers are always around & you will get spam in search results, but many connect as ultrapeers so if you are connected directly to one, your results will probably be nothing but spam.

To add them, copy paste the ip address across only. Then paste the port into the port option. Forget the details after the port number.
