Hello, I am new and have connection problem (OS X 10.5.7) after installing PeerGuardian Hi I am new here, I run LimeWire 5 under Mac OSX 10.5.7 on a 2007 iMac, all WAS fine, then someone introduced Peer Guardian to me and I have it installed, since then LimeWire won't connect to the net, stopping filtres of Peer Guardian does not change that, removing all LimeWire files and reinstalling does not change that, running LimeWire without Peer Guardian does not change that, LimeWire simply won't connect to anything. Tried adding LimeWire to OSX's Firewall allow list has no effect, repair permission does not change that, changing listening ports in LimeWire does not change that. LimeWire says a Firewall exist that stops LimeWire from connecting, as you can see, I have no idea what that means. What should I try? GtQ8fP |
Have you tried removing PeerGuardian? There is a special technique to doing it properly. You need to read their notes. PG for OSX is not as good as the one for windows due to less people developing & supporting it. I found support at their site was less than satisfactory to say the least. |

I only knew how to disable the filtres and haven't figured out how to remove it. Worse, I've found that BitTorrent and Azureus don't work either. I am going to take your advice and read through their notes to see how I can remove PG permanently. Thanks again. |
