legal issue
 

Could anyone please advise me on the legal issue of downloading songs/tunes. I am wary of downloading not knowing if I am infringing on any copyrights.

I would think it is ok or Limewire would not post them

Limewire does not post them. Limewire has no control over what users share, so it's up to you to find out if you are breeching copyright or not.. or if you want to or not.

Also laws differ between countries, so check out your local laws.

Thats like me sitting in my garage and someone breaks the window in the car in front of me, and the neighbor comes and askes me did I see any thing and I say sorry saw nothing if It wasn't legal then Limewire would not , do what Limewire does

there is nothing illegal with sharing open domain files....personal files...etc..and this is why p2p platforms are legal...

its legal to drive a car safely...its illegal to drive 100 mph into a store...
