Hi All.
Great Forum.
It's been awhile since I last purchased my version of Limewire.
It was 4.12..
It's still running fine, but I feel I should purchase an upgrade.
I'm all in favour of supporting the developers of great software.
Can anyone suggest , what is the latest and most stable, version to get?
I have seen many comments in the forums on issues with some versions.
Maybe it is user ignorance, or is it the version..
Any input would be greatfully appreciated..
Cheers

Well, if yours is running fine as it is then i personally recommend that you stick to the one you have, that's unless your absolutely gagging to upgrade.
From what i have learnt from other users, and my own experience, is that LimeWire 5 is not as... "FREE ROAM" as LimeWire 4.
They get annoyed with little pop up videos, not being able to SKIN IT! (which is a big problem for me), and many other things like downloading and lower numbers of search results. But it's up to you to make a decision. You can listen to what LimeWire have said, it's "faster", apparently. :w00t:

A lot of people have downgraded, but i recommend you stick to 4, but trying out 5 wont hurt, you might like it...

Thanks for that input..
Sometimes newer is not always better.
My 4.12 runs sweet.. Usaually over 200 kbs .
I wasn't looking for any preformance inprovements and no need for any add on features.
I was just thinking , I should throw another $20 to the developers..
I got more than my moneys worth out of this software.
You confirmed what I already suspected..
If it aint broke,,
Cheers
