Hello and Help with Limewire Pro Installation

Hello,

I'm new to Limewire and need help installing Limewire Pro. I purchased Limewire Pro for $9.95 and recieved an email with the link to download the software. I've downloaded the file but nothing happens after it appears to have installed. I already have Limewire installed but cannot figure out how to get Pro up and running. I double click on the Pro file but absolutely nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing.
Can anyone help me.

Hi Robin,

Normally, once you download & run the LW installer, it automatically removes any older LW version installed.

Where did you buy Pro from? The official site ((Official Website & Free Download - Lime Wire)) has no version of Pro which costs $9.95.
There are 3 versions of Pro available...
1. $34.95 for 12 months of updates & email support
2. $21.95 for 6 months of updates & email support
3. $13.95 which is a one-off payment & doesn't include any updates or support.

Which version of Pro did you buy (eg 5.2.13 etc)?

After installing, you should see a LW Pro shorcut icon on your desktop - do you see that icon?

From what site did you purchase it from? That price isn't right. Sounds like you might have been scammed.

I finally got it to work. I had to go back and manually delete all the old Limewire files, uninstall and then reinstall from the link I got from Limewire with the Pro software. I did buy it from the official Limewire site and it was a one time charge of $9.95 with no tech support or updates.

Thank you for replying and offering you help. Fortunately, it wasn't a scam. :-)
