I have had an issue with Limewire for about a month. When I try to open Limewire I'm directed to get the newest Java download.

I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN UPDATING JAVA. I AM UNABLE TO LOAD OR UNINSTALL JAVA.
I currently have Java 6 Update 13

When I try go to Windows Installer to update I receive an error message that this is not the correct version for my system. I tried all the available options from Vista directly from the Windows page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try this suggestion: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/348146-post7.html Perhaps not the identical problem but worth trying.
I would however suggest you download the Offline version (about 15 MB) for each, then use the Add/Remove Programs Control panel to remove all versions of Java. Run Crap Cleaner. Then install the Java versions as required. http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. You should reboot the computer after installing Java.
