When someone is uploading from my Shared directory, you can click the Browse Host icon. Sometimes, you see the files that host is sharing, but more often than not, either nothing displays or the message box comes up saying the host cannot be browsed. Does that mean that user is not sharing any files?

Not necessarily no. Browse host has never been a 100% reliable tool. The issue might be firewall related or other reasons. For example, sometimes you can browse a person & it might show 20 files. Using the Get More Results tool, it might come up with an extra 200 files. lol
Then some minutes later another browse might fail altogether.
