Help playing downloaded limewire music I have been using LimeWire for several years . . . have even paid for the program. However, recently, most times I try dowloading a song and then playing it, my Windows Media Player opens, but I get a funky message that I need to download some OTHER media program . . . which has usually been leading to spyware. Is there any way to correct this? Once in a while I can still get a song I want, but most times just the junk. And of course, there is no way to get ahold of someone at LimeWire. I would be willing to buy the program again, but I don't want to pay for a program where I won't be able to get the songs I want. Can anyone give me some guidance either on the LimeWire program changes or on how to contact them??? |
Recognising fake/spam files helps. Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) & also How to find music. I'd also suggest you first check songs by playing them with VLC - (click on link) which will play both audio & video files. VLC will not allow url's inside the file to force it to any virus ridden website. BTW you did not specify which version of LW you are using. |
