I don't know much about Limewire; I received a warning from my Windows Firewall not to open a port. Since I am new at this, I did some checking and decieded to allow Limewire an open port. From the information I have read, this site is not mallicious but one still should be careful about allowing an open port. Anything can happen. Have a great day.

Yes you do need to make an exception for LW. :)

Keep in mind you are not downloading from a site, but other people just like yourself. ;) That's why it's called a p2p (peer to peer) network, sharing from person to person. :) I personally share multiple thousands of files; almost 10,000 at present.

Problem will be a video codecs issue affecting playback. Two choices:

1. Get VLC which is a highly reliable player: VLC - (click on link). And you may wish to change the default player over to VLC so VLC opens when you launch video files from LW: Setting Default video app ;)

2. Get updated codecs for your present video player: Sleepless describes it well here: Using a Codec Pack
