Default Seeking Help (serious Lag when trying to run Winamp or Nero Showtime and LW at the same time)

I am running Windows XP SP3 with LimeWire 5.3.6. Computer has Intel Duo CPUE7400@2.8GHZ with 1.49GB of Ram.
Recently when I upgraded to this newer version of LW I have been experiencing some serious Lag when trying to run just Winamp and LW at the same time. I also notice if I try to use just Nero Showtime and LW at the same time it is even worse.
I've checked the amount of my CPU that LW is using and it is only showing me like 1% most of the time but is using about 160,480k of system memory consistanly. I've also disabled all firewall and anti-virus software to try and stop the lag but it's still going on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Jeff

Which version of Java are you using? Try updating or reinstalling (if you're already using the latest) Java. Use the link here: Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN)

Download the JRE offline installer. Remove any other Java versions installed via Add/Remove Programs. Install the update. Restart your computer.

Is 5.3.6 the only LW version to cause problems?

See whether the LW Beta causes the same problem. There's a link to the free version here: LimeWire 5.4.1 (Beta) - Lime Wire
Pro users can download from their personal download page.
