Edit names in Library Hi all ... just a simple question ... I tried to edit song nmaes in my audio library but Limewire just ignores it or states in use by another application ?!?! What am I doing wrong? |
Hi c5rulz, :welcomeani: Which version of LW are you using? |
4.18.8 |
Maybe the file that you're trying to rename is in use because you're uploading it (ie someone else is downloading it from you). In LW's library, right click on the file > stop sharing file. Now the file name will show in red text. Highlight the file in LW's library > click on Explore. When your saved folder opens outside of LW, try renaming from within the saved folder, rather than from within LW's library. Keep your saved folder open & shut down LW... see whether that's any better. To start sharing the file again, just right click on it within LW's library > share file. |
Edit names in LW Library Maybe that is the problem ... all my music files in the LW library are in red text. How would I change that ? thanks, c5rulz |
Right-click or control-click for mac on the file & choose to share. After changing file names you should press Refresh button. However, if one of your audio players is open it 'might' prevent you changing a filename of a file in its library list. BTW on mac at least, you can still change the filename of a filename that is red by clicking it twice slowly to get the text editable. |
1 Attachment(s) Sample of what i mean: (click once on filename so it's highlighted, then click again & edit option will open, you will see cursor or if not click inside the filename & will see cursor inside it so you can adjust the text) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...ename-lw-4.gif . |
