New member. Hello everyone :) My name is Geoff and I am a retired microbiologist. It's taken me about ten minutes to find this place and I might not be right! I am reasonably computer literate but occasionally have a problem, like right now. I am a user of dvdsanta, 'til now without any problems. However I have just completed putting together a visit to the Edinburgh tatto (with bagpipe 'music' of course) but it will not burn onto a disc. I use Microsoft XP as the operating system and DVD+RW discs. Anyone got any ideas please? |
Greetings valjoy, & welcome to the Gnutella forums! I haven't used dvdsanta because of so many negative reviews I read about it and my innate skepticism of software that tries to do too much (download, copy, convert, & burn). I imagine you got no response from their tech support. Is your current project something that you have successfully done before (same file format, etc.)? Does the software fail to burn the disk, or do burned disks not play? Tried burning with other software (i.e., is burner okay)?. Edinburgh Tattoo? You've got great taste in music! For one who has spent a few years marching, and a member of the Craig clan, Scotland the Brave is among my favorites. |
Many thanks Black Horse, Bagpipes are good in small doses and if you are a bit deaf! Thanks for your reply. I have used the davsanta for a long time with no problems. I think I may have disc drive trouble. I can transfer data from disc to computer but not the other way round. I've ortdered a new disc drive and will instal it as soon as I get it. Will let you know the result. Once again, many thanks. Geoff C |
