and I will tell you why I just did not believe this was a safe ordeal expose yourself or should I say your computer up to who ever knows how to hack a computer so I have stayed away for a long time and it appears that you guys did nothing but grew, I'm still a little unsure but lets see I willing to give it a try, first by learning from you guys who are already there and doing your things

the reviews are good they say as long as you have some pertection and I think Norton 360 qualifies as that your good...

I guess that you are a novice eager to use the Internet and gnutella network but keep your computer safe and protected, which is an admiral way to be because far too many novices do not think about protection.

OK, first thing to tell you is that there is no such thing as 100% protection and the best safety app you can have is your own common sense.

That said, Norton 360 is a reasonably good product as it has both anti-virus and firewall apps included but always remember to keep your AV's definitions up to date. An out of date AV is less than useless, a lot of novices let their subscription lapse and/or use very old (outdated) AVs and falsely feel that they are protected.

I would also suggested that you get two or three anti-spyware apps, such as a) Spybot, b) Ad-Aware, c) Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, d) SUPER AntiSpyware, e) Spyware Blaster, all these are free and there are others but these are the ones I use.

However, there are malware out there that will cripple your AV, re-write part of your registry and render themselves undetectable to your other protective apps, this is where you need your common sense to avoid such problems.

I hope I've given you enough for now to think about.

Account where? You have no "account" here. If you're using Limewire, Frostwire, etc., there is no "there" to have an account.

Is referring to having more than one iPod that connects to the computer (& thus user account on computer.)

I'm aware I read somewhere you can do it, I just can't recall where I saw it. I had a quick search earlier couldn't find it. I suspect you may need to rename each iPod differently. Unless you want the same songs on each I guess. But of course it's a little more complex than that with iPod & iTunes if you are using iTunes.

I believe it only matters with iTunes. There are many free, cross-platform programs that will transfer music, videos, etc to/from pod and computer. Only iTunes has the one pod - one computer limitations (two pods cannot share the same files).

About half way thru Apple - Support - iPod Tutorials - Downloading Music and Video shows how to name your iPod. So having a different name for each iPod might work. However Auto synching might not work for all. Manual updating probably will. That's if you are using iTunes. But as Blackhorse 70V suggested, there are 3rd party options to help load iPods. :)

I still could not find where I once saw about connecting more than one iPod to your computer.

Good question, it just does not pertain to me nor do I know how it was put in with my Hello, Maybe we posted at the sametime and caused some confusion, Maybe? I don't know. When I tried to contact him through the Quote it seemed like it was coming back to me, again guys I don't know, but I'm sure Osovetm would like to know. You guys seem to be well associated with this forum, see what you can do for Brother Osovetm.

Don't worry about it, if you stick around long enough you will see that novices will throw in questions (more likely, partially thought out questions) that run against the theme of the thread they are posting in.

So "osovetm" type questions are not unusual.
