Mac OSX Limewire won't quit
 

Installed Limewire, trying to close it but it won't quit. Help?!

Which OSX version, what kind of Mac computer, which version of LW? :)
In meantime you may need to force quit it. Command-Option-ESC

Check for Software Updates: ie under Apple menu top left of screen. There may be a Java update you need. ;)

I have an iMac, OSX 10.5.8 - core 2 duo processor - LW version 5.4.8. Furthermore, I installed it about 3 weeks ago and have never been able to open it. Used to use LW all the time when I had a PC, just figured it would work with Mac too.....I'll check for updates, but I do this frequently. Any info you have is helpful.

oh .. yes unfortunately LW 5 is not compatible with OSX 10.5. You will need to instead, install LW 4. I would however recommend LW 4.16 rather than 4.18. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/mac-os...link-here.html & instructions about removing the 'newer' LW Receipt file before installing (otherwise OSX will not let you install LW 4.) :)
