Because you started the thread with a flat out lie.

If you had written something like maybe "new up and coming Hip-Hop artist", I would have just ignored it, but you deliberately wrote it to gain as many hits as possible, by lying.

I'm pretty sure you DON'T want to see the hater side of ME...

Music Limewire playlist

Hello, I am Ruud from Rotterdam/ Netherlands.:)
I gladly use Limewire to download music but suddenly it stores my music in playlists which I don't want for due to this I can't burn my own CD's anymore; the songs are not to be "picked out " the playlist:blink:. Somewhere I must have something reset something in Limewire 5,8.4 but I've searched myself silly and I don't seem to be able to solve the problem.:bangh:
Can you help me, please?:aweof:
Many thanks,

a desperate Limewire addict :w00t:

How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link} :) I hope this has enough information for your needs. :)

There is a difference between the LW playlist that appears in iTunes, and the ones you can save from LW that can be opened by other players be it iTunes or another player. The playlist that automatically shows in iTunes cannot be burnt or drag & dropped files from. See the above link for more information about this. But keep in mind you can create & save to HDD your own playlists within LW that can be opened by & burnt via iTunes or other players and burners if you are using LW 5.5 or higher.

I realise due to your Nederlands language background you did not realise this thread topic was "Off-Topic" to your problem. ;)

Hello thanks for your efforts to help me out, but I don't use iTunes for I don't have an iPod and use Limewire 5.5.:wai:
Usually the songs were downloaded in a library out odf which I could pick songs to burn on CD.:xeri_ok1ani:
I must have hit the wrong button a short time ago for now they become part of a "playlist" with which I can't make my own CDs:blink:. I have searched in Limewire itself, on the net but still I couldn't get the problem solved:bangh:. Even after your explantation I can't seem to change it back into the old situation. I don't want a playlist but just like before "loose"songs I can burn.:yahoo:
So can you please explain how to return to the "old" situation or is it better to remove Limewire fully and install it again so I could get my qold sitation back?
Many thanks again and greetings from Rotterdam to you,
regards, Ruud

PHILIPS578

Just a thought here, last year I had something similar happen to me while using another (non-Limewire) application, my right hand accidentally hit my keyboard and changed a setting in the application I was using. And from that point onward, no matter what I did I could not get back my original (favourite) setting.

So I ended up having to save all my data on an external HD, uninstall and delete all traces of the application and then finally reinstall and re-customise the application.

I'm guessing that you will have to do the same with Limewire.

Hope this helps.

I'd suggest this: Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included 2nd last post of page.) But make sure you back up the Downloads(.dat) file. :)

To find where your files are presently, right-click on any of the audio files in your library and choose Locate on Disk. This will take you directly to where the files are stored.

I'm guessing you may have accidentally changed the location of where your LW downloads are sent to. Setting Transfer location to default might fix this via LW's tools menu -> Options -> Transfers, however deleting the LW preferences will also have same effect. ;)

problems with limewire playlist

Thank you so much:Smilywais:, "lord of the Rings" for all the advice you gave me in trying to solve my problem. I printed out the whole manual of Limewire and I have tried to follow the directions you gave me. But there are two ( slight..:() problems I face and these are that I haven't got a clue about where to find the folders in my computer ( I even use Total Commander..) and whilest trying I thought I saved my load of music from Limewire and deleted the file of Limewire completely and installed it again.....result:
My mysic is all gone:eek:. As the instructions are all in English and I use the Dutch version of Windows7 it is difficult for hopeless computer user with no explicite knowlegde of maps, resetting faults etc:confused:. to solve this particular ( perhaps simple:shoot:) change in LW. Like another member also said, I must have hit a wrong button on my keyboard once by mistake but correcting this takes me more than three weeks:cool: now and none of my pals know how to change this either and believe me, I have tried everything even with the manual next to me last night.....looks like it becomes an obsession by now:blink:..but I won't give up. Still I am stuck with that @###$###^&&&%%^$%#@ Playlist:bangh: ...I have searched the net too, but everytime I get directed to this forum (thank God).
Perhaps you know another way? By assistance via Teamviewer5 perhaps?
Many thanks all for your help so far and I will hang the Dutch flag out if the problem is finally solved...that's a promise ( and illegal besides on special occasions here in The Netherlands.
Greetings to you all,
Ruud

I can fully understand you trying to get hits, but there is as wrong way and a right way.

Essentially in correct advertising you have a target audience i.e. in your case people who actually consider Hip-Hop as music and more importantly are willing to either further promote, become an end-user or a mix of both. And then you have non-targeted advertising which may lead to hits, but you will generate little to no revenue or promotion from it. It may even be considered spam (in your case actually are spam, since I have already had to delete 4 other youtube link spamming off topic posts from you as well as merge 6 others) and, rather than generate a crowd, will lead to hostility against whatever you are trying to promote.

Guess which one you are using on here?

How many of those 7.000 hits on youtube profited you in any way at all?

I handed you a lifeline when not banning you for spamming the forums. What are you going to do with it?
