I just got a new laptop. I have downloaded Limewire. is there a way to sign in so my library transfers to the new computer?? :confused:

Welcome to the Gnutella forums.

If you're asking about transferring files that you have already downloaded, the answer is no (i.e., not via Limewire). If you're asking about transferring a Pro account to your new laptop, you would need to use the link sent to you from LW.

When you open LW, it logs on to the Gnutella network, you don't actually "sign in". Therefore you cannot access the same 'page' on both machines; each computer will open up it's own instance of LW, and you will see only the downloads, search results, etc., that were made on that computer.

The songs that were in your original library were saved to your hard disk. If you backed up any data from your old computer, or still have that old computer then you might be able to transfer your LW saved files to the new computer.
