first time post for me so be gentle. have been using lw for year+. current version: 5.5.14 on xp o/s. suddenly lost all my library ~ 1300 songs. have no idea why or if possible to recapture. any thoughts?

When you say lost your library, do you mean in Limewire or on your entire computer i.e. mediaplayers, physical file location etc.?

Just in Limewire and iTunes. They show up in name only in iTunes but when I click on a song it gives the message, "the song "xyz" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" When you click "Locate" it takes you to the folder/file: My Documents/LimeWire/Saved. None of the old songs are there just some of the newer ones that I've downloaded. I have no idea why they disappeared or where they went. Thanks for replying to my request! - David

Could be due to Limewire/iTunes integration, then when updating Limewire, it updated and/or changed your save folder and lost the path to your older stuff, so have you tried a regular windows search for some file names you know you would have had before. They might just be hiding in another folder somewhere.
