The LW Pro version can be downloaded as a trial to last one month. Then it reverts back to LW Basic. That's better than nothing. I'm not sure if you can download multiple times unless perhaps you used different email address lol. Though they may have a record of your ip address, purely & only for that reason. However they did take a note of people attempting to hack accounts.

I tried the Limewire Pro Trial version but you require a valid credit card in order to even get that. I couldn't work around it
