If you have a Visa bank card you can pay that way, but personally I think using a credit card is safer.

I strongly urge you to re-consider UK Bobby's advice. You get some protection when using a credit card; virtually no security via a bank cheque card.

Some users report that the free FrostWire is on par with LimeWire Pro.

They've done that since day one FrostWire was originally released almost 5 years ago. Talking right up their As$es. However yes eventually, FW devs did show their arrogance & lack of respect for LW's code by adding a couple more UP connections. LW Pro however does have extra coding for improvements for searching of the rarer material. LW or FW behave better on some people's systems .. just as some versions of LW behave better on some people's systems than other versions.

I should have known there was a bit of hype to their claims. My enthusiasm for FW has been cooled.

Regardless of which is the better program if new users cannot buy LW Pro, due to a world shortage of Visa credit cards, then Frostwire is a financially risk free alternative.

However, if the user, in this case KD, has made up his mind to buy LW Pro then he has to accept the (small) risk that comes with using his Visa bank card.

Still, any risk that exists can be minimised even further by running his (updated) AV, AS and other protective software he has before and after making the purchase.
