This site is needed since Lime-wire closed down.
 

My wife has been emotionally abusing me because I have not come with an answer to replace the closed down limewire pro. .....I think this site/forum is the answer. ..... A lot of people would like to know about these options for P2P stuff.

hi divinenews :) welcome to the Gnutella forums. Yes we'll always be here no matter if one of the Gnutella clients do close down & some have in years past. Previous ones of note were BearShare & Morpheus in particular. However we've done work to have both those programs working properly again.

And for LimeWire, there are connection fixes for the regular LW. And there's also what's known as the LimeWire Pirate Edition (LPE) which is just as good as LW Pro, http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...e-edition.html. LPE connects like a breeze every time.

If you were a LW 5.5 Pro user, it is still possible to run in Pro mode & get the program connected properly again. You would need a connection fix provided on the forum. We do link to some 5.5 Pro installers but they only work in Pro mode if your previous settings were for 5.5 Pro.

Note: the AVG anti-virus no longer works with LW Pro or LPE. File_Girl removed the AV option for her version of LPE.
