Introduction To Forum

Hi:

New to the Forum so here is saying hello to all! Now I am off to browse the forum and find some answers!

I updated my Limewire - then it wouldn`t work anymore and it looks like I will find my answers in the Gnutella Forum! :super:

Which version LW (LimeWire) is it, version 4 or 5? If 5, if you haven't already, try http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...e-edition.html or if windows user, try File_Girl's version in post #3 in that link. :)

Thanks for your reply! I believe my version was 5. I`ve uninstalled it now so can`t check. Operating System is Windows 7, so I think I will try File-Girl`s version. Like your location!

lol thank you :D

When you install software like LPE/LimeWire for Windows 7, it's best to right-click the installer & choose Run as Administrator. This solves some permissions issues. Likewise for Java installer should be done ;)
Even after it's installed you can do the same thing for LW/LPE shortcut on desktop. Can still do it for java but need to find the Java.exe file. Java is maybe a touch more important than LW to have it set to Run as Administrator. This is often a common problem for p2p programs to function properly on Windows 7.
